Noble & Sunday Tea Merchants Supplier/Vendor Code of Conduct

At Noble & Sunday Tea Merchants, we are committed to ethical business practices and sustainability. We expect our suppliers and vendors to share our commitment to high standards of integrity, human rights, environmental stewardship, and fair labour practices. This Supplier/Vendor Code of Conduct outlines our expectations and the principles that must be upheld by all our suppliers and vendors.

1. Compliance with Laws and Regulations

  • Suppliers must comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations, including those related to labour, health and safety, and the environment.

2. Human Rights and Labour Practices

  • No Forced or Child Labour: Suppliers must ensure that no forced, bonded, or child labour is used in any part of their business.
  • Fair Wages and Working Hours: Suppliers must provide fair wages and benefits in accordance with local laws and industry standards. Working hours must not exceed the maximum set by local laws.
  • Non-Discrimination: Suppliers must provide a workplace free from discrimination and harassment. Employment decisions should be based on merit, and not on race, color, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, nationality, or any other characteristic.
  • Freedom of Association: Suppliers must respect the rights of workers to freely associate and bargain collectively.

3. Health and Safety

  • Suppliers must provide a safe and healthy working environment for their employees. This includes taking proactive measures to prevent workplace hazards and ensuring access to clean water, sanitation, and emergency medical care.

4. Environmental Responsibility

  • Sustainable Practices: Suppliers must adhere to environmentally responsible practices, including the sustainable sourcing of raw materials and minimising their environmental footprint.
  • Waste Management: Suppliers must implement effective waste management practices, reducing, reusing, and recycling wherever possible.
  • Compliance with Environmental Laws: Suppliers must comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations.

5. Ethical Business Practices

  • Anti-Corruption: Suppliers must not engage in any form of corruption, extortion, embezzlement, or bribery.
  • Transparency: Suppliers must be transparent in their business dealings and maintain accurate records that reflect their operations and compliance with this Code of Conduct.
  • Confidentiality: Suppliers must protect the confidentiality of any proprietary information shared by Noble & Sunday Tea Merchants.

6. Monitoring and Compliance

  • Audits and Assessments: Suppliers must allow Noble & Sunday Tea Merchants or its representatives to conduct audits and assessments of their facilities and operations to ensure compliance with this Code of Conduct.
  • Corrective Actions: If any non-compliance is identified, suppliers must promptly take corrective actions to address the issues.

7. Community Engagement

  • Suppliers are encouraged to engage with and contribute positively to the communities in which they operate, promoting social and economic development.

8. Reporting Concerns

  • Suppliers must provide a mechanism for employees to report concerns or unethical practices without fear of retaliation. Any concerns related to this Code of Conduct should be reported to Noble & Sunday Tea Merchants.

By adhering to this Supplier/Vendor Code of Conduct, our suppliers and vendors help us ensure that our supply chain operates responsibly, ethically, and sustainably. Noble & Sunday Tea Merchants reserves the right to terminate its relationship with any supplier or vendor that fails to comply with this Code of Conduct.
