Being caffeine-free, this organic USA grown Peppermint is great for helping with aid with digestion while improving concentration. While peppermint is grown extensively in Egypt the best tasting peppermint comes from the Pacific Northwest of the United States where the summers are hot and dry.
All of our organic peppermint comes from Willamette Valley which cultivates 400 acres annually with minimal inputs thanks to best farming practices with regular crop rotation and intensive hand weeding. Harvested just before it begins to flower when the oil content is highest. After cutting, the plant is allowed to field dry, then the stems are removed through a static sorting machine and then the mint is sorted into uniform leaf sizes also known as grades.
The Willamette Valley is particularly special as it has the highest flavour profile quality of peppermint oil in the state of Oregon and arguably the world. It is exceptionally bright and distinct with a nice level of menthofuran (a potent component of mint oil)
Its botanical or Latin name is Mentha piperita (peppermint).

Freshly boiled water at 100˚c
Infuse for at least 5 minutes
