Peppermint Tea

The peppermint tea NZ loves

For a soothing, caffeine-free tea that can still pack a flavourful, refreshing punch, our organic peppermint tea is perfect. Grown to our order and responsibly sourced from one of the leading tea estates in the world this bright beverage can be enjoyed year-round no matter the weather.

Where does the N&S peppermint tea come from?

We are proud to source all of our peppermint from the Willamette Valley in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. This area produces 400 acres’ worth of peppermint every single year, using best farming practices like regular crop rotation and intensive hand weeding to ensure minimal impact on the native flora and fauna surrounding the estate. The Willamette Valley produces the highest quality peppermint in the world with the best flavour profile of any peppermint oil.

Our peppermint is harvested right before it flowers – this is when the oil content in the plant is the highest, which gives it its impactful flavour. Once it’s been harvested, the peppermint is left to field dry before the stems are removed by a static sorting machine. Then, the mint is sorted into uniform leaf sizes – also known as grades.

Brewing guide

Peppermint tea is great for helping you to relax, calming stomach issues and promoting good sleep. One of our favourite aspects of tea is the ritual of brewing the perfect cup.

Many cultures around the world regard tea brewing as a sacred, intimate ceremony. Here at Noble & Sunday, we love the moment of respite from our busy lives that brewing a cup of tea offers – the slow, intentionality of it provides a sense of peace and reflection. For best results, we recommend brewing your peppermint tea according to our simple guide:

  • Use 1 slightly heaped teaspoon of peppermint leaves per every 250mL water
  • Brew your water to 100°C
  • Infuse your peppermint tea between 3-5 minutes
  • Enjoy your peppermint tea clear or with a scoop of honey
