From the cloud-veiled mountains of Yunnan, the birthplace of tea, Golden Yunnan is one of the most prized China black teas in the world. 

The organic, rare, high-grown tea is easily identified by its abundance of soft golden tips and highly aromatic, savoury cocoa and black pepper flavours. Smooth as velvet with a pleasing floral overtone and a slightly spicy note, the golden tips add a subtle sweetness to the tea.

A touch of sugar or a splash of milk may mute the delicate aromas but bring out a caramel tone. Delicious hot or over ice; the flavour becomes earthier and more layered as it cools. This soft, rounded, silky and perfect tea is very forgiving and does not have as much bite as traditional breakfast teas.

A great option for those new to tea drinking, its mild yet complex flavour profile is a winner across the board.

Brewing Guide

• 1 slightly heaped teaspoon per 250ml of water
• Freshly boiled water at 100˚c - 85˚c (depending on the sweetness you are after, colder is sweeter)
• Steep for 2.5 minutes
• Enjoy clear or with milk
